Admission into form 1 is determined after the grade 7 resuls are out. We accept students with generally good grades. Mufakose high 1 school does not discriminate against anyone of any colour or religion as long as the student has passed the grade 7 exams and our entrance tests. We have form 1 entrance tests taken in September to select a maximum of 200 students being half of the total form 1 enrolment.

 

​Admission into our lower sixth form is determined by the student's O-Level results. A minimum of 5 O-Levels is a strict pre-requisite, we do not accept any student without 5 O-Levels into the school. Competition form Science classes is quite high given that Mufakose 1 high School used to be the only school offering the science combinations in the district.

 

Students with less than 5As' in their O-Level results will not be accepted to enrol in the Science classes. This is because competition for our Science classes is quite stiff.
